Design is attention. I’m not a purist in any sense of the word. Design to me is anything that catches the eye of your intended audience. Bad design is a good thing if it attracts the right people in the intended way. This can be a humor appeal, shock value, or a misrepresentation of the competition… you know, limelight by disassociation? Heck, if you write a nineteen page paper on the scientific intricacies of why the Pepsi logo should look like Fat Albert took a sit on it for a while… and you get publicity for it… well, whatever. It’s what it is–my favorite argument killer, so let’s move on. “YO!” I saw that on a billboard.

What is good design?
Wednesday, April 1st, 2009With Epiphany, It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3
Thursday, October 30th, 2008- Our process is made easy. We have an initial consultation with you about your website design needs.
- Provide us with the content you have created, whether it be text or graphics. Don’t have a logo already? Let one of our graphic designers take care of that for you.
- We create a PDF for you to review the look of your site before it’s created. Get up to three revisions.
- We turn that PDF into a modern Web 2.0 interactive marketing experience.
- Profit!
Well, maybe we’re jumping the gun a little bit. You’ve got a great site, but how are you getting traffic? How are you getting targetted traffic? What about conversion? What about ROI!? What about the bottom dollar!? During this Thanksgiving season, I’m suddenly reminded of Lucy from the Peanuts comics giving Charlie Brown superfluous advice.
Epiphany Digital
Tuesday, April 1st, 2008We just launched www.EpiphanyDigital.com and registered the name “Epiphany Digital” with the county. “Stop 1 Photo” is good for another four years, so we’ll just be phasing it out over time. It’s a good name, but too many think we’re a film drop shop and we didn’t start the business with web development in mind. Some poor planning on our part leads to some new development, strategy, and overwhelming victory. I’m, as usual, incredibly optimistic.
