Burney Falls – 11/24/07

Monday, December 3rd, 2007

Not much of a hike and right off the road, the first chance I’ve had to get over to Burney Falls… and what a sight! I wish it had been a prettier day out, but even with the cloudy weather I still managed to get an acceptable shot.

Lassen Volcano (Brokeoff Mountain) – Shasta County

Monday, November 12th, 2007

I had the opportunity to hike Brokeoff Mountain (not to be confused with “Brokeback Mountain”, an entirely different experience) last weekend. It’s more or less part of Lassen Volcanoes. There’s still at least one active sulfur pit (pictured below). There’s many more photos so just check out the scenery and arts section of the portfolio. You may never guess what the photo on the bottom right is…

Seattle, Skaguay, Victoria Vacation Photos

Thursday, August 23rd, 2007

I was recently treated to a cruise along the coast of Alaska leaving from Seattle. I had never had the opportunity to go on a cruise ship before, other than a dinner cruise ship I use to work with that left dock on a regular nightly basis. I managed to get a lot of photos, some of which ended up on the site here. These are a couple of my personal favorites:

It was actually pretty hard to pick just a few since there were so many great things to see. There’s more in the portfolio section of the site under botanical, art, scenery, and architectural sections of the site. I went through Seattle on the way up and caught a couple of nice shots of the Seattle skyline and of Mt. Rainier from the airplane.

McCloud Falls – McCloud, California

Saturday, July 21st, 2007

I recently took a drive over to McCloud Falls… they are breathtaking. The water is next to freezing, the sky is blue, the air is crisp… I can almost taste it. The middle falls are so gorgeous that I had to make a brief post.

Thank you for visiting this site. The web fairy will visit you in your sleep... you know, I was going somewhere with this, but it really doesn't have as much innocent charm as the tooth fairy, especially when I picture the web fairy as someone much like the Simpsons' Comic Book Guy but with wings. It's just not something I want.
