Google updated not too long ago and this blog has found it’s way into a PageRank 1 in only a month. I set the blog up at this domain on March 3rd and really haven’t put a significant amount of work into it besides writing a few posts and registering it with a few places. Alexa is still giving it a 1.5M ranking, which is simply no good. We’re doing about 700k on Compete and nothing on MozRank. All in all though, for a month, really not too bad. It’s like fishing. You get better bait or a wider net.
Our main site got an overhaul around the same time last month. We’ve been getting better user retention, a lower bounce rate, and higher traffic on average. Our MozRank there is at 3.77, we have a PageRank 3, a horrible Compete rank, and Alexa of just over 500K. The Epiphany Digital site is a little over a year old now, with most of the work put into content and web development. SEO has been at the backburner for much of the time and now we’re on a redesign again. Ideally, we want our website to be the kind of site that “holds the hands” of our visitors and intuitively guides them through the site in a fashion that mirrors our process as it is seen by our clients. There’s a lot of thinking to be done and we’re getting better at execution on every itteration.
