Surprisingly to me, I got a last minute invite to the Town Hall Forum on Tuesday, February 5th, 2008 on Hilltop Drive. Herb Shultz, one of Governor Schwarzenegger’s representatives, was speaking on health care reform. I didn’t have a lot of interest in the topic other than the firm belief that socializing health care for California would be really beneficial to me in the short run and devastating in the long run. I did get to meet with Mr. Schultz personally and chat for a moment or two.

I grew up with a father in Civil Service for the Navy and my wife was a Navy brat.  We met in the Navy town of Norfolk, VA.  Navy health care is a macrocosm of the health care socialization issue, and has horrible results in many ways.
